Kimberli Holzworth

Kim started her karate training in February, 1998 at Bethlehem Karate Academy (BKA) under the direction of David Sames, Sensei in the style of Okinawa Shorin-Ryu.  She obtained her black belt from David Sames, Sensei on October 27, 2001.  She continued to train under Sames, Sensei and advance in rank until February of 2009.  In the spring of 2008 she had the privilege to travel to Okinawa and train with Koei Nohara, Hanshi.  In February, 2009 Kim decided to broaden her karate and kobudo (weapons) training to train under C.Bruce Heilman, Hanshi in Okinawa Kenpo Karate and Kobudo.  At this time she continues to train under Heilman, Hanshi and holds the rank of Yon-Dan (Renshi).

Kim has always been physically fit and with a passion for fitness.  In the spring of 2009 she suffered a knee injury that required surgery and physical therapy afterwards.  At the end of that physical therapy it was suggested she hire a personal trainer to continue to strength that leg.  At this time she still trains with him twice a week.  Through that training along with her passion for fitness she decided to pay it forward by helping others.  She is a certified personal trainer and certified in group exercise and continues to educate herself in the latest technology.
