Our karate program offers a very high standard of traditional martial arts curriculum for all ages. The foundation of your training is the Okinawa style of Karate called ‘Okinawa Kenpo Karate Kobudo’ a traditional Okinawa martial art with its ancient roots to “the old way”.
Thus, the primary goal at Ki Training Center is to teach self-discipline, integrity, soundness of mind and body with proper emphasis on control. The traditional martial arts are designed to help build character and prepare the student for self-defense situations as well as teaching them how to avoid conflicts.
Through the physical training of karate at Ki Training Center, students develop their cardiovascular system and increase their muscle tone. You can expect to see better motor coordination, increased flexibility, and an increase in stamina, as your student’s training progresses. In addition students develop their listening skills, their memory, their self-esteem and their self-discipline as they train in a traditional martial arts class.
We are well aware of the differences that exist among our students with respect to physical aptitude. While we encourage a consistency in training, we also recognize that students will progress at their own rate. The pursuit of martial arts is not a race. We will work with you and/or your child, helping the student to set realistic goals and we will assist the student in attaining these goals. This will help boost your and/or your child’s level of self-confidence and enhance their self-esteem.
Our instructors at Ki Training Center are genuinely interested in our student’s progress. They have a wealth of experience in teaching martial arts to any age group. The karate student’s progress in school, at home, as well as in the community is also important to us. Our primary goal is to help you or your child not only excel in martial arts, but to succeed in every aspect of life.
